Your data is yours.

TL;DR

Sentinel is built privacy-first. We don't run ads. We don't sell data. We collect the minimum needed to make the app work, and we tell you exactly what that is.

What we collect

The Sentinel app has no accounts and no sign-in. You never create a login, and using the app doesn't require giving us your name or email. The one place we do collect an email is if you choose to give us one — in-app feedback, or a Field Test signup on this website. Here's the complete list of what we collect:

  • Anonymous usage analytics: app-open counts, which features get used, and crash reports, via TelemetryDeck. Aggregate counts and events only — no names, no email, no advertising identifiers, nothing tied to your identity.
  • PT assessment data: your scores, test dates, and training entries stay on your device. We don't collect them or store them on a server.
  • Subscription status: if you buy Sentinel+, the purchase is handled by the Apple App Store and your entitlement is managed by RevenueCat, tied to an anonymous app identifier — not to your name. We never see or store your card number.
  • Feedback you choose to send: if you use the in-app feedback form, we receive the message you wrote, basic app and device info (app version, iOS version, device model), and an email address only if you add one so we can reply.
  • Field Test signups: if you sign up for the Sentinel Field Test on our website, we collect your email address, which component you serve in, and roughly when your next PFRA is. We use it to send you TestFlight invites and updates about the program, and to decide who to seat in a round. Nothing here is collected in the app, and none of it is tied to your app data.
  • Field Test email engagement: we may record whether you opened a Field Test email and whether you clicked a link in it, so we know the messages are actually arriving and so a "yes, I want in on the next round" click is registered. Standard email measurement — it isn't shared, isn't used for advertising, and stops the moment you unsubscribe.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to make Sentinel work. Each one sees only the data it needs:

  • Apple — processes Sentinel+ subscription payments through the App Store. Apple's standard payment and privacy terms apply.
  • RevenueCat — manages Sentinel+ subscription entitlements. Receives your subscription status and a pseudonymous app identifier — not your name or card details.
  • TelemetryDeck — anonymous product analytics. No personal identifiers are transmitted.
  • Supabase — our backend. Stores in-app feedback you send and Field Test signups.
  • Discord — in-app feedback messages are relayed to our team here. Field Test signups are not — your email address is never posted to Discord.
  • Resend — delivers Field Test email: the confirmation when you sign up, and updates about your round. Receives your email address and the message itself.
  • Beehiiv — holds the Field Test mailing list. Receives your email address, component, and PFRA window so we can send the right updates. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.
  • We don't run third-party ad networks in the app.
  • We don't share your PT scores with your chain of command, your unit, your squadron, or anyone else.
  • We don't use your data to train AI models or sell insights derived from it.
  • We don't have accounts, logins, or passwords — there's nothing to sign in to, and the app itself holds no identity.

Your rights

You can:

  • Delete your assessment data at any time, right from within the app — it lives on your device.
  • Ask us to delete any feedback you've sent — email privacy@onesentinel.app.
  • Leave the Field Test list at any time — one click on the unsubscribe link in any email, or ask us and we'll delete the signup outright.
  • Manage or cancel a Sentinel+ subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings; Apple and RevenueCat hold the subscription record.

Data retention

  • Assessment data: stays on your device; yours to delete at any time from within the app.
  • Feedback submissions: kept so we can act on them. Email us to have yours removed.
  • Field Test signups: kept while the program runs so we can seat future rounds. Unsubscribing stops the email; asking us removes the record.
  • Subscription records: held by Apple and RevenueCat per their policies; we retain only your current entitlement status.

Children

Sentinel is built for USAF members and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email privacy@onesentinel.app and we'll delete it immediately.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy in ways that affect your data, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. If we ever add accounts, sign-in, or cloud sync, we'll update this policy before those features turn on.
